The Dark Side Of Christmas

We’re not saying Bah Humbug, however sometimes it is necessary to take the sickly sweet of the Merrie out of Christmas.

Lots of the old lore and legend is fairly gruesome and the ghost stories of winter had time to marinade and become multi-level with the re-telling. Scaring children when they got on everyone’s nerves when the days were short and the nights were long barely stopped short of terrifying them. There is a dark side to Christmas that is alive and well throughout Europe so our cutesy multi nationally branded CocaCola Santa is just the tip of the horror that lies beneath.

Geraldine Beskin, proprietor of The Atlantis Bookshop will be providing what promises to be an unmissable event

The event is held in the upstairs room of the Old King’s Head & costs £3/1.50 concession
